Program Description: The Clinical Medical Assistant Program is designed to prepare students of the various components of the medical assistants' professional responsibilities. This training course is intended for students who are preparing for many of the exciting, challenging, and rewarding careers in the healthcare field. The Clinical Medical Assistant Program will prepare students to assist physicians by performing functions related to both business administration and clinical duties of a medical office.
Instruction in business aspect includes insurance reporting, office accounting, and medical records. Clinical instruction includes preparation of the patient for examination and treatment, routine laboratory procedures and the use of the electrocardiograph machine. These opportunities require people who want to operate in a high-tech fluid environment filled with constant challenges and service commitments. Students will study the history and types of healthcare opportunities, professional workplace behavior, ethics, and the legal aspects of the healthcare setting. The students will be responsible for minor medical/surgical procedures using aseptic techniques where needed, accurately measure vital signs, and other basic clinical procedures. Students will also learn about and use some of the technology in the healthcare field as they undertake and engage in clinical experiences within the surrounding communities' healthcare facilities.
This is a 24-week training course for 5 days a week presented in a total of 720 clock hours of classroom and laboratory training. (160 hours clinical externship within total clock hours).

Cost of Program/Tuition Breakdown
Total cost of program: $ 6,400.00 which includes initial National certification exam, background check, textbook rental, one scrub uniform set, CPR certification. $250.00 is due with signing of the enrollment agreement which includes a $150.00 registration fee. Balance of $6,150.00 to be paid before the last day of class.
Tuition Breakdown: Registration fee= $150.00, Textbook rental= $105.00, CPR= $50.00, Background Check= $35.00, Uniform set= $60.00 and Initial Competency Exam (written and skills portion) fee= $160.00 Tuition=$5,840.00
Total Tuition Cost= $6,400.00
Payment Plans: Payments may be made at the direction of the student according to the payment plan agreed and the balance is PAID IN FULL by the Friday before the final examination day of class.
