Nurse Aide Training
To enroll in the Nurse Aide Training program, applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Candidates should be able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently. A criminal background check is required—any convictions related to abuse, neglect, mistreatment of the elderly or infirm, or misappropriation of a resident's property will prevent admission. This cost is included in the tuition for the Nurse Aide certification program. Additionally, applicants must pass the admissions exam with a score of 75% or greater; the first exam is free, with subsequent testing available for a fee of $35. A negative TB Skin Test/PPD is also required. Lastly, applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S. to be eligible for the Nurse Aide program details.
