The Nurse Aide Program
The Nurse Aide training program is approved by the Louisiana Department of Health, and the Louisiana Board of Regents. The program is a total of 133 hours, and the curriculum covers 93 hours of classroom instruction/lab instruction taught by licensed nurses, and 40 hours of clinical instruction in a skilled nursing facility. Students learn techniques that are utilized by professionals in the field. Upon completion of the 5 weeks/133-hour program, students are eligible to test with Prometric Testing to become certified upon passing the written and skills exam. The staff of Advance Nursing Training is committed to providing every student with the skills needed to become effective in their new career as a Nurse Aide.
1) Day Program 5 weeks Monday- Friday 9:00 am-2:00 pm
Night Program 5 weeks Monday-Friday 4:00 pm-9:00 pm
2) Clinical week, the last week in class 6:30 am-2:30 pm
3) Total hours: 133 class/clinical hours
4) Tuition: $1200 includes CPR certification, state background check, initial state exam, and textbook rental.
