Phlebotomy Technician Course

This phlebotomy course follows established guidelines to prepare students for the national phlebotomy technician certification exam, paving the way for successful employment as a certified phlebotomy technician. The total cost of the program is $1200.00, which covers the initial certification exam, background check, and textbook rental.

Admission Requirements

1. Applicants must be 17 years of age or older.

2. Applicants must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

3. A criminal background check is required—convictions involving abuse, neglect, mistreatment of the elderly or infirm, or misappropriation of a resident's property will prevent admission. (Cost included in tuition)

4. Pass the admissions exam with a score of 85% or higher; the first attempt is free, with additional testing costing $35.

5. Submit proof of immunization.

6. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the U.S.

Please note: Students with non-hirable convictions, as per LA R.S. 1203.3, will not be eligible to complete clinical instruction. While they may enroll for classroom instruction, they must sign an acknowledgment form stating they will not be able to complete the program or qualify for certification.
